Enrolment Terms & Conditions
These Enrolment Terms & Conditions apply to educational services provided by The Study Nook Learning Studio, including Personalised English Support (1:1) and the Year 7 English Readiness Program.
By confirming an enrolment or booking, the parent or guardian acknowledges that they have read and accepted the terms applicable to their selected service.
1. General Enrolment Conditions
1.1 Enrolment and bookings
All enrolments and bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by The Study Nook Learning Studio.
Parents and guardians are responsible for providing accurate contact information and any relevant learning, medical or other information reasonably necessary to support their child's participation and wellbeing.
Families are asked to notify The Study Nook of any changes to this information.
1.2 Student participation
The Study Nook Learning Studio aims to provide a supportive, respectful and productive learning environment.
Students are expected to participate respectfully and follow reasonable instructions relating to learning, behaviour and safety.
Where concerns arise that significantly affect a student's participation or the learning of others, The Study Nook Learning Studio will contact the parent or guardian to discuss appropriate next steps.
1.3 Educational services and outcomes
The Study Nook Learning Studio provides English instruction designed to develop students' reading, writing, comprehension, analytical and independent learning skills.
Services will be provided with reasonable care and skill.
While The Study Nook Learning Studio is committed to delivering high-quality educational experiences, individual academic results or particular school outcomes cannot be guaranteed, as progress is influenced by factors including attendance, participation and individual learning needs.
2. Personalised English Support (1:1)
2.1 Service arrangements
Personalised English Support provides individual English instruction tailored to each student's identified learning needs.
Sessions are arranged by appointment and are subject to availability.
Learning activities are selected according to the student's needs and progress, with a focus on explicit instruction, modelling, guided practice and independent application.
Personalised English Support is not intended to operate as a homework completion service.
2.2 Session fees and payment
Personalised English Support is charged at $120 per 60-minute session.
Payment is generally requested before the scheduled session unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed.
Invoices are issued electronically through Stripe, with secure payment instructions provided to the parent or guardian.
2.3 Cancellations and rescheduling
Families are asked to provide at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or requesting to reschedule an individual session.
Where at least 24 hours' notice is provided, families may request an alternative session, subject to availability, or receive a refund of any prepaid session fee.
Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, families are asked to contact The Study Nook Learning Studio as soon as reasonably possible so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed.
The Study Nook Learning Studio understands that illness and unexpected circumstances can arise and will consider these situations individually.
No cancellation fee currently applies to individual sessions.
2.4 Changes or cancellations by The Study Nook
Where The Study Nook Learning Studio is unable to deliver a scheduled session, families will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
An alternative session will be offered where suitable. Where an alternative cannot be arranged, families will receive a refund of any payment made for the session that was not delivered.
3. Year 7 English Readiness Program
3.1 Program enrolment
The Year 7 English Readiness Program is a structured ten-session small-group English program delivered during Term 1.
Each session is 60 minutes in duration, with a maximum of ten students per group.
Places are limited. A student's place is confirmed once the required enrolment payment has been successfully completed and enrolment has been accepted by The Study Nook Learning Studio.
Further program information, including session details and any materials students need to bring, will be provided by email before the program begins.
3.2 Program fee and payment options
The total fee for the Year 7 English Readiness Program is $600 per student.
Families may select from the payment arrangements made available at enrolment.
Option 1 — Pay in full
The full program fee of $600 is paid at the time of enrolment.
Option 2 — Weekly payment plan
The program fee is paid in ten weekly payments of $60.
The first payment is made at enrolment to secure the student's place and covers the first session. The remaining nine payments are processed according to the payment schedule provided at checkout.
Option 3 — Initial payment and three instalments
An initial payment of $60 is made at enrolment to secure the student's place. This payment covers the first session and forms part of the total program fee.
The remaining $540 is paid in three scheduled instalments of $180.
Payment dates will be provided at enrolment.
All payment options total $600. The initial $60 payment is included in the program fee and is not an additional charge.
3.3 Payment plans
Payment plans allow families to spread the cost of the program over time. They do not operate as separate purchases of individual sessions.
By selecting a payment plan, the parent or guardian authorises the scheduled payments associated with that option to be processed using the payment method provided at checkout.
If a scheduled payment is unsuccessful, The Study Nook Learning Studio may contact the parent or guardian to arrange payment or update payment details.
Any adjustment to scheduled payments arising from withdrawal, cancellation or a refund entitlement will be considered in accordance with these terms and Australian Consumer Law.
3.4 Withdrawal from the program
The Year 7 English Readiness Program is designed as a complete ten-session learning experience, with each session building upon previously developed knowledge and skills.
Families are encouraged to commit to the full program to receive its intended educational benefit.
If a family wishes to withdraw their child, they are asked to notify The Study Nook Learning Studio in writing as soon as possible.
Any request for a refund or adjustment to future payments will be considered having regard to the circumstances, services already provided, costs reasonably incurred and any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
No separate early-withdrawal penalty currently applies.
3.5 Missed sessions
The program fee reserves the student's place for the full ten-session program.
If a student is unable to attend a scheduled session, families are asked to provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
A missed session does not automatically entitle the family to a refund, credit or reduction in the program fee, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Where practical, The Study Nook Learning Studio may provide information or learning materials relating to the missed session.
Individual make-up sessions are not guaranteed.
3.6 Changes or Cancellations by The Study Nook
The Study Nook Learning Studio may need to make reasonable changes to session arrangements due to illness, venue availability or circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Where possible, families will be given reasonable notice of any changes.
If The Study Nook Learning Studio cancels a scheduled session, an alternative arrangement will be offered where reasonably possible.
Where an alternative cannot be arranged, families will receive a refund for any sessions paid for but not delivered.
Nothing in this section limits a family's rights under Australian Consumer Law.
4. Privacy and Student Information
Personal and student information collected through enrolment and bookings will be used for purposes reasonably connected with delivering educational services, managing payments, communicating with families and supporting student safety.
Information will be handled in accordance with The Study Nook Learning Studio’s Privacy Policy and applicable privacy obligations.
Photographs, recordings or identifiable student work will not be used for public promotional purposes without appropriate separate consent.
5. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Enrolment Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under Australian Consumer Law.
Australian consumer protections apply to services supplied to consumers, including guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill.
