Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to enrolments in The Study Nook’s Year 7 English Readiness Program.

Change of mind or withdrawal before the program begins

If you need to withdraw your child from the program, please contact The Study Nook as soon as possible.

Where notice is provided before the program begins, The Study Nook will consider the circumstances of the withdrawal and any costs already reasonably incurred in relation to the student’s enrolment.

Any refund or adjustment will be communicated directly with the parent or guardian.

Withdrawal after the program has commenced

Enrolment reserves a student’s place across the full 10-session program.

The weekly and three-part payment options are payment arrangements for the full program fee and are not payments for individual sessions.

If a student withdraws after the program has commenced, this does not automatically cancel remaining scheduled payments.

The Study Nook will consider requests for withdrawal, refunds or payment adjustments on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the circumstances, sessions already provided and costs reasonably incurred.

Missed sessions

Refunds, credits or fee reductions are not normally provided where a student is unable to attend a scheduled session.

Where practical, The Study Nook may provide information or materials relating to the missed learning; however, individual make-up sessions are not guaranteed.

Illness or exceptional circumstances

The Study Nook understands that unexpected circumstances can arise.

If a student is unable to continue participating because of significant illness or another exceptional circumstance, parents or guardians are encouraged to contact The Study Nook as soon as possible so the situation can be considered individually.

Sessions cancelled by The Study Nook

If The Study Nook cancels a session, the session will be rescheduled where possible.

If a cancelled session cannot be rescheduled, families will receive a refund or credit for that session.

If The Study Nook is unable to continue the program, families will be refunded for any sessions that have not been delivered.

Venue or scheduling changes

The Study Nook may make reasonable changes to session dates, times or venue arrangements where necessary.

Families will be given as much notice as reasonably practicable.

A reasonable change to venue or scheduling does not automatically result in cancellation of the enrolment, although individual circumstances can be discussed directly with The Study Nook.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Consumer guarantees apply automatically to eligible services, and remedies may include cancellation, refund or compensation where those guarantees are not met.
